Do you allow smoking?

 Smoking is allowed on premises, but not inside the apartment.

 

Do you allow pets?

No.  We’re sorry if this is an inconvenience for you.  But, our resident K-9 would rather have you all to herself.

Do you have long-term leasing?  

Yes. If you need a home away from home for 1 month or 2 years, we can accommodate you. There is no early termination fee. Please call 770-583-9947 if you have any questions.

 

What is there to do near Penny Acres?

Penny Acres is 5 minutes from I-85 and as we like to say, only 40 minutes from

the world.

 

Atlanta:  About 40 minutes away.  Home of the new Georgia Aquarium, Turner Stadium, Woodruff Arts Center, the famed Fox Theater, fabulous shopping malls, world-class restaurants and much, much more.

Hampton:  Home of Atlanta Motor Speedway, is about 40 minutes away.

 

Newnan:  About 20 minutes away.  Spared during Sherman’s March to the Sea, Newnan is known as the City of Homes.  Choice of two first class golf courses, 4 fitness centers, restaurants, pubs, shopping, antique shops, airport, arts center, walking trails and more. On Labor Day Weekend there are The Three Festivals of Powers’ Crossroads.  These very well known and  popular festivals draw the highest quality artisans in all media from all over the United States.

 

Peachtree City:  Is less than 30 minutes away.  Peachtree City is a planned community.  Excellent shopping and great restaurants.

 

Grantville: Grantville is steeped in history. Grantville began as a small settlement called Calico Corner during 1840. The name was changed to honor L. P. Grant who was the Chief Engineer for the Atlanta & LaGrange Railroad. The city still has its passenger and freight depots. It obtained its charter in 1852 as The Town of Grantville. Grantville was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991 and has the distinction of being the largest Historic District in Coweta County.

 

Two historic mills and associated mill villages and downtown area remain in tact. During a walking tour you will see historic churches, beautiful antebellum homes, cottages and downtown district. We even have our own castle, known as Bonnie Castle. This small southern hamlet has been host to Franklin Roosevelt, Madame Chiang Kai-shek and Jimmy Carter. The movie industry is discovering this charming southern town.

 

Whether you are a history buff , delight in southern architecture, enjoy tennis or want to be an extra in a movie, Penny Acres is within walking distance of it all. Of course, you can always lounge on your own patio and enjoy refreshments with friends or order pizza from Nick’s Pizza Stop. Nick is a personal chef and has good eats other than pizza.

 

LaGrange: Less than 30 minutes away, where you will find a beautiful southern town. It is home to LaGrange College, which was founded in 1831 and ranked #7 on the list of America’s Best Colleges in 2006 by U.S. News. The Chattahoochee Valley Art Museum features exhibits by the Southeast’s best artists. This museum is free to the public and is located in a renovated 1892 Victorian building, originally the Troup County Jail. Columbus: About 40 minutes away. Columbus, Georgia is an authentic Rivertown. The gently rolling waters of the Chattahoochee have provided food, energy, employment, and recreation for the citizens of Columbus throughout the years.

 

Today, the river is home to the 15-mile trail known as the Chattahoochee RiverWalk. The RiverWalk provides an excellent facility to bike, in-line skate, jog, or just take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the scenery.

 

Columbus offers a variety of fine attractions such as the State Theatre of Georgia…the historic Springer Opera House, Port Columbus Civil War Naval Center, the National Infantry Museum which displays a large collection of military art and artifacts, the Columbus Museum…one of the newest and largest state-of-the-art facilities in the Southeast, and a beautiful Historic District - circa 1850-1870
